For the last couple months, I was trying to find the best way to connect to the net without subscribing to Gprs, Edge or Hsdpa. Finally, I found one that will enable me to have a prepaid card and connect to the net without much hassle.
PCCW offers an ‘All in One‘ prepaid card. You can make calls and connect to the net at their available hotspots (around 3,000 hotspots all over [tag]hong kong[/tag]).
Now, the [tag]Wifi[/tag] connection is not free ($3 HKD for 10 minute) but at least it will get me to as close to Hsdpa capability. Don’t expect free wifi in hong kong. I am not saying there isn’t any. But there are few and hard to locate. Most Starbuck’s are equiped with PCCW wifi.
In Hong Kong, [tag]PCCW[/tag] has position many Wifi booths all over hong kong. This is one thing [tag]TM Net[/tag] should consider doing it in Klang Valley or places where there are no Streamyx.
