The top view…the volume roll, u can listen via headphone and with 4.5V DC adapter. It run on 2 AA batteries.

P1000583

The side button is for u to change the tune. There are about 10 or 15 tunes (correct me if I am wrong).

I find this is an interesting way to make a first impression of zendesk.com. People will remember who you are. I hope it’s not that expensive to give out. Anyway, it a fun product to listen too….

On attending the first Start-Up Hong Kong

Angus of 852Signal.com organized a little get-together for all the Hong Kong web start-up at the office of Stepcase. The office is located at Lai Chi Kok, where we called this area Silicon Alley. Its seems some web start-up are attracted to this area because low rent.

I hv talked about this with my friends from malaysia. Lately, I felt the resurgence of the internet industry in Hong Kong. Peoples like Angus and Napoleon are trying hard to reach out and try to give a voice to these web-startup.

As compare to malaysia, these couple years there are lot of bloggers, internet-marketing bloggers and tech blogger. Malaysian tech bloggers that comes to my mind are Liewcf.com and Hongkiat.com Not many start-up. The most prominents start-up are the nuffnang & advertlet advertising aggregators.

In fact there is seed funding & pre-seed (www.cradle.com.my), but the screening process is very tough. Can u imagine asking at 20 years guy to draw a biz plan and financial budget….then, five panelist sit in front of you and grill u on your biz plan. Its not a walk in the park. It’s grilling.

The malaysian government is trying very hard to help but most of the funding are not directed to the startup. Most of the funds went to the well-connected and of different race. It’s an unfortunate scenes…

As for me, it’s great to hang around with new found friends. I am a start-up myself. Just arrived in HK freshed…a new life and trying…to find my place in the internet space…

On attending the MAHK AGM

My first time attending the [tag]Malaysian[/tag] [tag]Association[/tag] [tag]AGM[/tag] in [tag]Hong Kong[/tag] and I got my Shock & AWE. So many malaysian turning up for the events. I thought this kind of stuff never interest anyone.

msa hk agm

Check out the crowd. I was wondering why would anyone want to get elected for a chairman or deputy or whatever the post that were available because all these position is an NON-PAID position. Is there something that I don’t know, that these people knows?

msa hk agm
The Supporters

Wow…Spend own money to campaign. It’s a NON-PAID position…lah….

the argument

The Rule Of The Game – Based on the constitution of the association, at anytime you did not renew your membership and you let it lapse for more than a year, u need to re-apply as a new member. Then the application will be review by the exco members during their regular monthly held meeting.

The Argument- the challenger brought in a lot of her supporters BUT most of the supporters did not renew their membership for the last year or two.

So that night, the challenger supporters submitted their new application and insist the exco committee to approve them right there and then. They were raising their voices, yelling and do other shit…

It’s like renouncing your citizenship but on the day of election, you re-apply your citizenship and ask for the right to vote. What logic is this?

There was one asshole keep shouting he is a malaysian and holding his passport way up high to show his shit. This is like going back to Malaysia during election time and bring my passport at the polling station and start shouting…”I am Malaysian…How come my fucking name is not on the voting roll”. Motherfucking dickhead….

My Opinion

When u want to fight a war, BE PREPARED. Next, I own a Introducing Forex Brokerage. I told potential clients to know and abide by the house rules. Don’t pull shit stunts because the house will penalize you.

Same shit at this AGM, the current governing body holds all the cards and you must know how to work around and within these boundaries. A good example is the current malaysia election. The Barisan team holds all the cards but the opposition gain more seats than ever. WHY? KNOWS HOW TO WORK AROUND AND WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES.

the cry babies

The Cry Babies

These are the cry babies. Because they were not issued ballot ticket, they came into the room disrupting the process. So many personal insults, so many character assassination. They came for blood.

These people is like…’last year when we fight…it was a fair fight..but this year u raise the great wall and we are at a disadvantage.’ Grow up motherfuckers !!!

Throwing tantrum when you are in a disadvantage position….fucking malaysian.

You know what…these cry babies are senior management people and bosses. If you can cry to the top…shit…I need to start doing this kind of shit…No wonder I am still at the bottom of the food chain.

Then there was one chick trying to table a motion to have the exco immediately review, process and approved their application. I wonder in Malaysia or anywhere else, if an ordinary citizen like me goes to the parliament and table a motion to the speaker to dissolve parliament and have another new election.

If this can be done, Jeff Ooi and Tony Pua don’t need to work their ass off to get into parliament. You want to change the rules of the game or have a voice. Become one of the administrator…Get your fucking ass elected…bitch.

Recently in HK, there was an intensive drive to ask citizen to register as a voter for the next election and the cut-off date was May 16. When is the election? Couples months down the road. Every country has a deadline for voter registration. No country would allow anyone to register on the last hour of the election.

A lesson learned for me…when u comes into the battlefield unprepared, the consequences can be devastating.

To rely on rustics and not prepare is the greatest of crimes; to be prepared beforehand for any contingency is the greatest of Virtues. Sun Tzu

the incumbent
The incumbent

I cast my vote to her. Why? As a shareholder, I only want to see one thing. Positive cash flow on the events MSA organized and positive cash flow on the balance sheet.

The rest…I don’t give a shit…

the challenger
The challenger

Well, let me borrowed a quote from Sun Tzu.

” A general who calculates the most before the war will always win. A general who calculates carelessly before the war will always lost.”

She gave a 10 minutes typical malaysian political speech…I hv the longest, biggest and thickest dick bullshit. I hv a small dick. I don’t want to hear last minute campaign speeches. This kind of bullshit should be done 3 months ago.

My Summation

What pisses me off was the pure act of hooliganism that was bring forth by the Challenger supporters. These motherfuckers are like some posse rode into town with their gun blazing and proclaimed they are the new sheriff of the town.

There were a lot noises about the current chairwoman. If she was to be elected, a lot of people will be unhappy, the association will be disunited and all kind of negative bullshit. All I can say…whatever we do…we do it by our own choosing. We draw our Line- In-The-Sand (some people called it their principles and some called is choices) based on the current perceived information available. Its all about choices.

You made the choice of not going to the Friday get-together, you made a choice of not re-newing your membership. You made a choice to have certain friends. NO ONE force you. It’s your choice. So…where is the unhappiness, the disunity or negative shit. It’s after all our own perception. We perceives in our mind.

My brother-in-law always reminded me that there is no LINE-IN-SANDS. That line-in-the-sands is by our own choosing. The perceived LINE can be push further back when push comes to shove. For example, in war, with so many deaths, there are survivors…why? because they made a choice to live. They find a way to survive…

I am thinking aloud…
