I don’t know whether will it be fair to benchmark against Vagabond (Musashi) by Takehiko Inoue.

There were couple more places to check out at the Ngong Ping 360 but we did not go. We then took a bus down to Tai-O. Checking out the fishing village.

A lot dried seafood…I am not a seafood fan…

The walkway between the stores. The place was not packed because it was just a regular sunday. Not a public holiday. Most of the people went out there was hikers and taking pictures…

Tofu-fa. The store claimed to be the best in tai-o.

The wooden walkway…to go from house to house.

There were some chairs lying around. I sat…taking a breather…

A shaolin school in Tai-O. Interesting….

Took this pix because I though it was funny…This dude was doing all kind of kung fu posture.
More pix on my slides for your enjoyment….

We decided to spend a half day at Ngong Ping 360 and Tai O. Just to take pix and walk around. We decided to take MTR to Tung Chung. Take the cable cab up to Ngong Ping and then take a bus to Tai-O. Then from Tai-O take a bus back to the Tung Chung MTR.

We wanted to take the crystal floor cabin but the ticket counter person told us the wait is 45 minutes. We took the regular cabin. The regular cabin was better because they shoved 10 person into the crystal cabin whereas our is only 5.

Behind us was the crystal cabin. Tilted one side. Too many people inside.

Arrived at the top. A lot of souvenirs stores.

For us this is the main attraction. Took this pix from the bottom of the stairs. You want to see this dude up close. You have to walk up. No escalator or elevator. The way to heaven is walking up the stairs.

Finally…up close. The view from above was spectacular.

We went to check out the Military Families Community Park. This is where most KMT soldiers families housed. Now, it sort of turn into a tourist attraction for people like us.

I took this pix when I was at the compound of Military Family Park. The taxi driver told us…this is the best position to see the New Year firework.

This is what its look liked. I put the rest on the slides below.

Then we head out to check out my wife grandma. Took a taxi out to Ankeng, Sanxia. This is one time…I really got irritated because the taxi driver lost his way and took us back to Taipei city and start all over again. Took us an hour to reach there and it was raining….
We brought incense & paper incense…and pay our respect.

Bought a Tee – I love life. A campaign is going on telling people to treasure life and don’t kill themselves. You know la…financial tsunami. A lot of people have no job…

We went up Grand Hotel. We have been to Taipei many times but always passes by this hotel. This time…we decided to check it out.

Stunning hallways. Felt like I am in a palace.

I don’t know what to call it. But it was damn huge and awesome.

At the cafe, traditional chinese music.

A little tired. We went to the cafe for coffee and cheesecake.

Then we went to see a dentist. I have not clean my teeth for almost 2 years.

Going to dentist is not one of my favorite outing. I was holding on the seat. Don’t know what I was afraid of….hehhe.
More slides below for your enjoyment.

Next, went to check out a temple. My wife said…she like to hang out at this temple when she was young…
