On 24 Hours of flickr Hong Kong

My first time to Hong Kong social/networking events. I was a little nervous because I really don’t know what to expect. I was kinda of surprise flickr would host this kinda of events. They reserved the entire restaurant/bar. They provide free flowing beers, sodas and some finger food. Not cheap for a get-to-know your customer events.

I don’t hv any picture because my digital camera ran out of battery. But the guy sat next to me offer to send me some pix. Guess what…he never did. So, I can only provide a free booklet that flickr gave out as free token.

At this event, I realize…probably this particular event, there are 2 sectors of audience. One is the strictly cantonese speaking and the others is the bilingual but prefer to speak english. Not that much of culture shock but a good first outing experience for me.

I met Angus at 852signal.com. We chat couple time through email before I came over to Hong Kong. Finally, I met the man. You should check out his 852signal.com because he is putting a lot of effort on talking about Hong Kong web 2.0 scenes. Also, maybe down the road, I could be a contributor in his blog magazine. Who knows… Anyway, Angus keeps up the good work.

I am looking forward for the next event. If will be fun for a KL kampong boy like me….
